Teryl Austin was born 3 March 1965. He is an American football coach and former player. Austin is currently the defensive coordinator for the Florida Gators football team represents the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He played in 1984 Fiesta Bowl 1987 Bluebonnet Bowl. He continued to play a season with the Montreal Machine of the World League of American Football in 1991.
Austin then began a career in coaching, landing a position as a graduate assistant at Penn State in 1991. In 1993, he followed fellow Penn State assistant Jim Caldwell of Wake Forest, where he served as secondary coach.
