Joseph Patrick Mauer 19 April 1983 in Saint Paul, Minnesota is a Major League Baseball catcher for the Minnesota Twins. He has also won two Gold Glove awards, plus the 2009 AL MVP award. In his last years he was the only athlete always be selected as the USA Today high school Player of the Year in two sports. Mauer attended the same high school as the Baseball Hall of Fame and a former Milwaukee Brewer Paul Molitor. 21 march 2010, Mauer agreed to an eight-year contract extension with the Twins worth $ 184 000 000 which will take effect from 2011 to 2018 season.The season episode aired in 12 April 2010.
